Infinix’s Classical 108MP Camera Mobile for Budget Category

Today we’re checking out Infinix’s Classical 108MP Camera Mobile. Of course, you always need 5G, and it has a 6.78-inch Titan boss display with some solid gaming chops, 100W super-fast smart charging, all kinds of air-related shenanigans, and even a spangly light slapped on the back. So, let’s whip the Infinix Note 40 Pro Plus out of the box, test its gaming chops, camera tech, and more.

What’s in the Box?

Inside the box, you’ve got more than just the Note 40 Pro Plus. There’s a MagPad wireless charger (which we’ll test in a bit), the phone itself, a 100W Infinix charger, a USB-C cable, some type-C earphones (not the most comfortable, but a nice freebie), a screen protector (you’ll need to apply it yourself), and a cleaning kit. Also, Infinix includes a condom case compatible with MagSafe for wireless charging. The phone has a soft touch finish, and there are some cool Infinix stickers included.

Design & Build

The Infinix Note 40 Pro Plus has a spangly, affordable look. It’s skinny, apart from the usual jutting camera lens, which isn’t too bad compared to more premium phones. The display slopes over the edges, but the screen remains responsive. The back has a fake leather texture, which adds grip and reduces smudges. The plastic frame is standard, but the phone is sleek overall.

Display & Screen

The 6.78-inch AMOLED display is good for cinematic content, though it’s not as sharp as some 1.5K rivals. It supports full HD resolution but lacks dedicated HDR support. Infinix claims 10-bit color reproduction, and you can tweak the color output in settings.Light Output is good though it is not as low as some would have preferred. The display refresh rate can run as high as 120Hz, although it can be switched manually to either 60Hz or 120Hz.

Audio

The Infinix Note 40 Pro Plus is equipped with JBL stereo speakers. Their sound is quite loud but not ear-shattering; it’s comparable to what you’d hear from most smartphone manufacturers. There may be a small imbalance between channels because the bottom edge provides the majority of the audio output. You’ll need to utilize Bluetooth or a dongle because there isn’t a headphone jack.

Performance & Gaming

The Note 40 Pro Plus handles day-to-day activities with the MediaTek Dimensity 7020 chipset and 12GB RAM. It works with high settings on an average of all the other games, but it stutters while handling those graphics-throughput games like Genshin Impact quite well. The phone does have a vapor chamber for cooling, and gaming mode offers performance enhancements and battery-saving options.

Battery Life & Charging

Infinix Note 40 Pro Plus ranks high when it comes to a battery rating of 4,600mAh, as it has excellent battery life even during heavy use such as gaming and photography. It supports 100W wired charging, and Infinix has included its new Cheetah X1 charge management chip to prevent overcharging. There’s also 20W wireless charging support, and a MagPad charger is included.

Camera Tech

The camera system hasn’t changed much from the previous generation, featuring a 108MP primary shooter with optical image stabilization. The camera app is feature-rich, offering AI enhancements, a 108MP mode, night mode, and AR effects. However, the phone lacks an ultra-wide-angle lens, and the other two sensors are 2MP. Video can be recorded at up to 2K resolution. The front camera is a 32MP wide-angle sensor that can also record 2K video.

Software & Features

The Infinix Note 40 Pro Plus runs Android 14 with the XOS launcher. It offers a lot of personalization options, including an AI wallpaper generator and an AI assistant called Forlax. There are also useful settings for gaming and performance. XOS is highly customized, with a zero screen feature and many bonus settings.

Additional Features: Active Halo Lighting

One of the standout features is the Active Halo lighting on the back, which can serve as a notification light. It’s customizable, allowing for different effects for calls, messages, charging, and more.

Final Thoughts

The Infinix Note 40 Pro Plus 5G offers a lot for its price, with good hardware, excellent battery life, and some fun features like the flashy lighting. However, if performance is your priority, there are better options from brands like Poco and Xiaomi. Follow for more updates on Tech Education.
